#1Organic Vineyard Tour & Play “Name That Varietal”
(Allow approx. 2 hrs.) $45 per person - Please allow 48 hours advance notice

You'll take a hands-on educational walkabout through our organic vineyards with an founder/owner, Edward or Deborah. You'll learn about farming decisions and how they reflet in the final wine produced as you pass through the vineyards planted to eight Bordeaux varietals. Winter visitors may be accompanied on their stroll by a flock of sheep or in the summer depending upon the timing you might be invited to release ladybugs or measure grape sugars.

Your private tasting will start with several of our white wines. Next, to discover the unique differences among the six Noble Reds, you’ll be able taste our current releases: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and the less known Petit Verdot and Carménère. All varietals are grown side by side in the same vineyard, making this a unique experience unlike any other in Wine Country.

If you like, select a “blind” tasting called “Name That Varietal.” On the table in front of you will be six glasses with a red wine in each. Now, which wine is which varietal? The tasting can be quite a challenge indeed! But this is the best and most interesting way to learn about wine.

The grand finale is of our Richard the Lion-Heart, a meritage wine blend that has all six Noble Reds which is the result of our numerous blending trial sessions. Throughout your tasting of ten wines you will be served a variety of fine cheeses and handcrafted nibbles to pair with the wines.

#2 Progressive Tasting in our Vineyards

You'll pass through our entryway with 500 red rose bushes, part of the reason Fodor's Travel named us one of the most beautiful wineries to visit. With a founder/owner, Edward or Deborah, take a trek through our organic vineyards planted to eight varietals originating in Bordeaux. At various stops you will be served a tasty appetizer paired with wine from vines you are looking at. Here you not only swirl, sniff and sip the wines but see, smell and touch the grapevines from which they are made.

Back in our tasting room or on the deck overlooking the vineyards, you'll enjoy a seated wine tasting including more of our vineyard-designated, award-winning wines.
